2-Day Babysitting Course - Meeting on 11/25 & 11/26 - 4:30pm to 7:30pm - Safe Sitter Essentials Babysitter Certification

**Safe Sitter Handbook is included in price of the class (a value of $18.95!).**

WHO: ages 11 to 14

After signing up, you will receive an email requesting the student's basic information, and if there are any food allergies we need to alert other students about (such as peanut allergies), as there will be breaks for snacks and we will also have a pizza party on the final day!

WHAT: Safe Sitter Essentials is a great way to get started with babysitting! This class covers a wide range of topics including:

- child care skills, such as child developmental stages, age-appropriate care and practical skills like diapering a baby and toddler

- safety skills that will teach competence in indoor and outdoor safety, injury prevention, basic first aid and choking, as well as what to do in a variety of unexpected emergency situations and who and when to call for help in those situations. 

Completing this course will also give confidence in and the tools to build a babysitter business or just get started babysitting around your neighborhood. 

 **This class does cover infant and child choking but does not cover CPR**

WHERE: Strive Workspaces - 4750 Venture Dr #400 Ann Arbor MI 48176 

We have the use of two private conference rooms near bathrooms with comfortable tables and chairs, along with enough space to move around when doing various activities and games. Parents are also welcome to hang out in the kitchen area or sound proof cellphone booths located directly outside the conference rooms.

WHEN: Class will meet on Tuesday 11/25 and Wednesday 11/26 at 4:300pm until 7:30pm.

There will be a 15-min break halfway through each class. Please bring snacks and water, if needed and we will have a pizza party on the second day!

WHY: Taking a Safe Sitter Essentials course is beneficial for several reasons. It equips young teens with the skills and knowledge to handle various situations safely, both when home alone and when babysitting. These courses teach crucial safety, first-aid, and child-care skills, boosting confidence and preparing them for potential emergencies.
