About
Hi! My name is ellie! I am teaching these babysitting and CPR classes because I LOVE babysitting, teaching, and helping people learn new skills in order to reach the goals they have set out to accomplish.
I have been a babysitter since I was twelve, which was quite a few years ago 😅 I am also currently a full-time nanny, which means I am with the same kids most days of the week, and will hopefully help them for more than a couple years of their lives. I do also currently babysit for more than six families usually once a month, if not more. Luckily I have never needed to use CPR while babysitting, but these are very important skills to have, and I have stayed current on my CPR certification since 2010.
More About Me:
I have a Master's degree in Education from U of M and teach non-credit classes (like piano, voice, and handcrafting) on the weekends at Washtenaw Community College. I also love to read, be crafty, play the piano and sing.
I'm so excited to share my expertise with you in my certification classes!
Why Should You Be a Babysitter and Get Certified:
Babysitting is a great way to earn some money, show your grownups you can be responsible and make good choices, and it's even a great way to have some fun with the kids you'll babysit. Also, parents and families looking for babysitters will be more interested in hiring you if they know you have taken a certification class, and also have some experience with kids.
Not to mention, all the skills you need to be a babysitter are skills that will be useful to you your whole life!
I hope you are excited to sign up for a class, so you can start your babysitting business as soon as you finish your certification!
LOCATION OF ALL CLASSES:
All Babysitting and CPR classes will be held at Strive Workspaces in Ann Arbor (address: 4750 Venture Dr. #400) which is near Costco and the Ann Arbor airport. The conference rooms we will use are quiet, comfortable, near the bathrooms, and should easily accommodate our classroom and skills practice.
